Piatt County Candidates To Speak
The Piatt County Bar Association will host forum for county
candidates in Courtroom 1 of the Piatt County Courthouse
at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 21. Refreshments will be served.
The forum will be moderated by attorney David Cox, the Bar
Association President. It is expected that candidates for
State's Attorney and Circuit Clerk will appear.

Absentee Voting in Piatt
County, Illinois
If you'd like to vote in the General Election but will be
out of the district on Tuesday Nov. 4, 2008, you can vote
absentee at the Piatt County County Clerk's office.

Not Registered to Vote?
You Still Have Time
Illinois has enacted a Grace Voter Registration Period.
Although the official Voter Registration window closed on
Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, you may still register to vote at
the County Clerk's office in your voting district. However,
there's a catch -- you must also vote absentee at that time.
You must provide proof of residency in Illinois, and verification
of your current address [such as a utility bill with your
name on it].
For Piatt County voters, you may contact the County Clerk's
office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.

The Piatt County Republican Central Committee will hold
their regular monthly meeting at the Republican Headquarters,
111 South State Street, at 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 20,
2008.
